Recommended reading: Statement on the continuing education obligation according to § 28 GenTSV (2019) published in the Laborjournal

Steffen Ibrom

The Laboratory Journal has presented the practical implications of Section 28 GenTSV (2019) and has also asked Dr. Kauch for a legal assessment in this regard.

In its print edition 9-2019, the Laborjournal addresses the ongoing discussion surrounding the five-year continuing education requirement for project managers and BBS, which was adopted in the revised GenTSV this summer. Dr. Kauch from the AGCT was also asked to comment on this article. In addition to a legal assessment of the new regulation, the article also addressed practical problems from the perspective of seminar providers such as the AGCT in implementing these follow-up training courses on time. Furthermore, the article describes the background to the new regulation from the perspective of both the responsible Federal Ministry (BMEL) and the Hessian Ministry of Agriculture, which initiated a general five-year continuing education requirement for all project managers and BBS. An abridged version of the article is available free of charge on the Laborjournal website. This link . The unabridged version was published in the print edition of issue 9-2019. We particularly recommend reading this article before our special course on the new GenTSV on November 14, 2019, at the BioMedical Center (BMZ) in Dortmund. The special course will provide you with firsthand information about the contents of the GenTSV. In addition to the change in the continuing education requirement, the other new regulations will also be discussed. We look forward to your participation.
