AGCT industry events

We regularly organize industry and networking events on legal or other innovations in the field of genetic engineering and biotechnology. The aim is to process these changes as early as possible and to discuss possible effects with participants from the field.

NOTE - PLANNED EVENT ON THE EU NGT REGULATION

On July 5, 2023, the EU Commission published the long-awaited draft of the EU NGT Regulation.

It is intended to pave the way for the use of New Genomic Techniques (NGT), at least in the field of plants and food and feed, if the results obtained are comparable to those of conventional breeding.

We are planning an industry event as soon as a final version of the regulation is foreseeable to discuss the implications of the new regulation in European research. You are welcome to register now - free of charge and without obligation - for the list of interested participants.

14.09.2019 Industry event in Dortmund - New Genetic Engineering Safety Regulation (GenTSV) 2019

Most recently, on 7 June 2019, the Federal Council adopted the Ordinance on the Reorganization of the Law on Safety Levels and Safety Measures for Genetic Engineering Work in Genetic Engineering Facilities (BR-Drs. 137-19(B)), which was officially published in the Federal Law Gazette on 15 August 2019.

This involved extensive amendments to the GenTSV. These were presented by expert speakers from the perspective of the legislator, the genetic engineering authorities and the scientific community and the changes to the individual regulations were analyzed in detail by the speakers. There was also the opportunity to discuss the effects of the changes in detail.
