The BfN has published its annual report as of December 10, 2024. It is positive that 18 planned inspections were identified without any violations of the requirements of Regulation (EU) No. 511/2014. Of a total of 33 inspections,18 are still being processed. The BfN cites a possible reason for this as a specific violation of the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 511/2014 implementing the Nagoya Protocol, which is still being clarified. In addition to the 18 ongoing planned inspections, there is also one pending event-related inspection. The 19violations that have not yet been finally resolved indicate that there are more open cases than in the previous year. Please note: In 2022, the BfN imposed a fine on an employee of a private-sector company for the first time. Information from the BfN can be found here.Issue 02/2024
