Deepening of topics – AGCT refresher courses with key topics

The law stipulates a five-year continuing education requirement for PL, BBS, and operators. Within this framework, individual topics can be studied in depth in a one-day course.
The amendment to the Genetic Engineering Safety Ordinance (GenTSV) introduced a five-year continuing education requirement for project managers, project managers, and, where applicable, operators. Therefore, continuing education courses are often offered in which the content of a course for obtaining a project manager's certificate for the first time is presented again in a condensed form. However, in practice, there is a demand for specific continuing education courses in which certain topics are covered in more detail and fundamentals are covered in a condensed format.
For this purpose, the AGCT has been developing so-called refresher project management courses since 2019. The AGCT has now implemented this concept of topic-specific training in a Video on YouTube explained in more detail.
In addition, the AGCT has produced a total of seven videos to present the individual focus topics of the AGCT's Refresher Project Management Courses. These focus topics for 2024 are as follows:
- Animal husbandry facilities (part 2)
- Revisions: Monitoring of genetic engineering facilities (Part 3)
- Admission hurdles for universities and companies (Part 4)
- Rights and obligations of the PL, BBS, operator (Part 5)
- Risk assessment (Part 6)
- The Nagoya Protocol (Part 7)
- Transport of GMOs (Part 8)
