What is the LASI?

The State Committee for Occupational Safety and Security Technology (LASI) acts as a coordinating body of the states different Tasks true. These include:

The Consultation of the Conference of Labour and Social Affairs Ministers (ASMK) and the development of strategic Positioning of the countries on all fundamental questions of Security and the protection , the Receipt and the Financial support the Health in the workplace . The implementation and further development of the common German Occupational Safety and Health Strategy in cooperation with the Federal Government , the Accident insurance providers and the social partners as well as addressing fundamental and overarching questions of Law enforcement , with the aim of cross-border uniform administrative practice and legal application.

The LASI deals exclusively with strategic questions as well as with fundamental questions of enforcement and is the highest professional Committee for Occupational Safety and Security Technology below the level of the ASMK.

In his six working groups LASI allows technically and legally relevant Detailed questions with the aim of ensuring uniform application of the legal provisions in the various federal states. Working Group 4 “Material Hazard Protection” deals with hazardous substances law, the Biomaterials and explosives law.
